Faith That Is Wise

In a culture that celebrates self-reliance and bold decision-making, we face a critical choice between two fundamentally different sources of wisdom. The devil's strategy remains unchanged since Genesis: impersonate God, over-promise results, question divine authority, and ultimately watch people fall.God's wisdom presents a beautiful alternative. It begins with purity—being devoted to God and cleansed by His grace—and flows into characteristics like peaceableness, gentleness, openness to reason, mercy, and sincerity. This wisdom doesn't rob us of power but teaches us to direct our strength properly, like a powerful horse responding to gentle guidance. The struggle we face isn't with our circumstances but with our divided hearts that want to serve both God and worldly values simultaneously. Yet into this diagnosis comes hope: God gives more grace to the humble. The path forward involves submitting to God, resisting the devil, and drawing near to our heavenly Father who runs toward us with open arms when we return to Him.
