Ambassadors for Christ

In 2 Corinthians 5:1–21, we discover what it means to live as ambassadors for Christ. Through Him, we are made new creations—given a new way of seeing others, a gift of reconciliation to share, and a new identity to live out. This calling is anchored in three truths: our eternal hope in heaven, our call to walk by faith and not by sight, and the compelling love of Christ that moves us to action. As ambassadors, we no longer view people by worldly standards but as souls either in Christ or in need of Him. The passage culminates in the powerful “Great Exchange” of verse 21, where Jesus took our sin so we could receive His righteousness—equipping us to carry His message of reconciliation to the world.
