Unshakable: Daniel 12 - Living in Light of the End

September 1, 2024 Preacher: Josh Stringer Series: Daniel: Unshakable

Scripture: Daniel 12:1–13

In the concluding chapter of Daniel, we are presented with a vision that compels us to consider our lives in the context of the end times. Daniel's final vision, filled with promises of divine protection and warnings of impending trials, serves as a reminder to live with intentionality and hope. We are comforted by the assurance of God's protection, symbolized by the archangel Michael, and are encouraged to be steadfast in the face of adversity, just as Daniel was in his time of exile and persecution. The vision also brings a message of hope, with the promise of rescue and resurrection for those whose names are written in the Book of Life. This hope is not just a distant dream but a present reality that should influence our daily actions and interactions. We are called to be witnesses, sharing the gospel and turning many to righteousness, while also treasuring the precious Word of God that has been preserved for us. Patience in God's perfect timing and a pursuit of purity and holiness are also key themes, as we are refined through our trials. Ultimately, we are to endure till the end, holding onto the promise of rest and a place in eternity, as we live each day with the end in mind.
