As pictured above, hiking cairns are a small set of stacked stones on trail used to show travelers the correct way to proceed when the path isn't clear. Our purpose, mission, vision, and values serve as our cairns. They keep us focused on the path ahead as we follow Jesus together. 

 

Purpose (our why):

to exalt Jesus and proclaim the Gospel.


Vision (our what):

to reconnect people to God by making and equipping mature followers of Jesus for the sake of families, our community, and the world. 

Mission (our how):

  1. Reconnect People to God
    • Engage the unchurched where we live, work, shop, and play with the love of Christ and the Gospel.
    • Welcome the dechurched into a healing environnment for community and grace.
  2. Make & Equip Mature Followers of Jesus
    • Welcome and help newcomers find their way into the life of the church.
    • Teach and equip members to be disciples who make disciples.
  3. Bring about the Transformation of Families
    • Equip the next generations to understand the gospel and embrace a biblical worldview.
    • Build up young adults to maturity and solidify their identity in Christ.
    • Strengthen marriages in truth, love, and grace to joyfully reflect the Gospel.
    • Equip parents to embrace their role as the primary shepherds for their children.
    • Facilitate forgiveness and reconciliation where brokenness has occurred.
  4. Bless our Community and the World
    • Equip members to be active participants in and sources of light to our neighbors.
    • Show biblical hospitality to those around us who are in need.
    • Partner with local churches and ministries to meet challenges in our community.
    • Generously support and send missionaries around the world. 

Values & Commitments

  • We are loved by God; therefore, we worship and pray to Him.

  • We receive grace from God; therefore, we show hospitality to everyone. 
  • We have been blessed by God; therefore, we generously serve others.

 1 Peter 2:1–10

[1] So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. [2] Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation—[3] if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. [4] As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, [5] you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ... 

[9] But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
